Dante was working on a project for school on this book “Sadako and the Thousand Paper Cranes” It is a true story about a girl in Japan in 1955 who was exposed to the atom bomb in Hiroshima when she was an infant. She dies 10 years later when she is 12 from Leukemia. Her friend reminds her of an old story that says if a sick person makes 1,000 paper cranes the gods will cure them. This becomes her goal. Dante & Sofia's Easter Baskets Bella's basket Cashew Chicken Stir Fry We didn’t wake up too early – Sofia was the first one up and then Dante. They went and found their baskets with some hints from me. Bella woke up about 15 min. later. We had a relaxing morning and then I made an early dinner. We had Cashew Chicken Stir Fry. It turned out pretty good but not as good as the Asian Stir Fry we made yesterday. The Cashew Chicken tasted a little bland but we added Terriyaki sauce and that helped. home made apple pie Pie a la mode Dante joined a baseball league so Sunday we went to the school field to practice throwing the ball, catching and batting. It was a beautiful day! Dante has a pretty good arm on him but needs a little practice catching the ball. He is doing a great job and we are excited for his team practices to start on April 13th. Ralph also practiced playing catch with Bellla. Bella has a great arm too, but is a little afraid to catch the ball.
