I had a taste for pizzelles and I haven’t made them in a long time. We’ve had the maker for years bought before we even got married. I somehow misplaced the recipe book when I took it out last week and never got around to making the cookies. Not to worry though, because I found a great recipe on-line here. I tried to find one similar to what I remembered of my original recipe and I knew that it had melted butter so this one was pretty close. French Toast and chocolates
Home made valentines
This morning I made French toast with Texas toast bread. I sprinkled powdered sugar in a heart shape in celebration of Valentine’s Day. Ralph got me a box of chocolates and little boxes of chocolates for the kids.
I love home made valentines or vintage valentines. The valentines they offer in the stores today are too commercial and all character based. The girls and I like to make crafts. Isabella has been making her own plush for some time now and we wanted to do some crafty things for Christmas. I bought the Better Homes and Gardens Creative Collection Holiday Crafts magazine in December.
